Firefighters are battling a “substantial” vegetation fire at Pegasus Beach.
A Fire and Emergency spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media they were called to the beach at 7.50PM.
He say nine fire appliances are at the scene plus a Fire and Emergency Command Unit.
Police have blocked off the access road to the beach.
Weather conditions are making it tricky for firefighters given the strong winds.
More firefighters have been called to the scene.
