A pub in New Brighton was broken into early on Monday morning.

The Bower on the corner of New Brighton Road and Bower Avenue was targeted by thieves.

A police spokeswoman said police were notified the burglary where a window had been forced open around 12:45am.

“Two people are understood to have entered the commercial premises and took items.” 

Those involved have not been located and police are making further enquiries the spokeswoman said.
