A cyclist has been injured after crashing with a vehicle in Rangiora this afternoon.
A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media the accident happened at 3.20pm at the High Street and West Belt intersection.
A motorist told Chris Lynch Media parts of High Street and West Belt were blocked off by police.
A St John ambulance was stationed on High Street, and there was a large police presence.
A John spokeswoman said they responded with one ambulance and one rapid response unit.
“We have transported one patient in a serious condition to Christchurch hospital.”
Motorists were being diverted.
