Emergency services responded to a two vehicle collision in Phillipstown this afternoon.
The crash happened on Ferry Road, just before Aldwins Road at 3.50pm.
A bystander told Chris Lynch Media there were people lying on the side of road with blankets on them waiting for the ambulance to come, and were put on stretchers when it arrived.
A St John spokesperson said they received a call at just before 4pm about an incident on Ferry Road, Christchurch.
“We responded with one rapid response vehicle, one ambulance, and one support manager.
“One patient in moderate condition was taken to Christchurch Hospital via ambulance. A second patient in minor condition was assessed and treated at the scene.”
