A person has been seriously injured and two others moderately in a crash on Christchurch’s Summit Road.
A police spokeswoman said emergency services responded to a single vehicle crash on Summit Road in Sumner around 11:30pm last night.
The vehicle flipped upside down and ended up in a ditch.
Fire and Emergency crews were called to rescue the person, who was trapped in the vehicle.
A St John Ambulance spokesman said they responded with two ambulances and two rapid response units.
There were five patients assessed at the scene, with three patients transported to Christchurch Hospital.
One person was in a serious condition and and two people were in a moderate condition.
The road remains open.
