A person has died after a single-vehicle crash on McLeans Island Road, Harewood, early this morning.

A police spokesperson said emergency services were called to the scene about 2.30am.

The sole occupant was found dead at the scene.

The road was closed, and traffic management was put in place.

However, one lane has now re-opened on McLeans Island Road.

Stop-go traffic control is in place. 

Police advise motorists to take extra care in the area and expect delays the spokesperson said.
