One person was taken to Christchurch hospital following a crash involving a bus and a vehicle this morning.

Emergency services were called to Creyke Rd in Ilam at 10AM

A St John Ambulance spokesperson said they responded with one ambulance.

One patient, the driver of the vehicle, was assessed and treated at the scene.

They were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

An Environment Canterbury spokeswoman said they were made aware of the incident and are following up with our operator of the service. 

No passengers were injured.
