Multiple offenders raided the Night ‘n Day store on Ferry Road in Woolston on Friday night in another alarming attack.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media police were called about 10.35pm to the premises after a group of people entered the store and stole a number of items.

An eyewitness said she had just pulled into the car park when the incident happened.

“There were about five or six guys all masked up outside the store. Two of them were just by the door of the shop, another one just further down on the corner. About three or four people stormed the shop.”

The eyewitness said it was a “crazy scene” with up to 7 people all running separate ways in at least four getaways cars, with one behind the shop, one across the road by the service station, and one just on the side of the road near the car park.

“They all just bolted.”

She said the entire store was smoked out by fog canons. “The whole place was ganged out”

The police spokeswoman said there were no injuries and a fog cannon was deployed.

The store was back open this morning and police were making enquiries.
