Christchurch Police have arrested two teenagers in
relation to an aggravated robbery in Merivale.
Three masked men brandishing hammers robbed Peterson jewellery store on Papanui Rd in Merivale on 3 October, in broad daylight, making their getaway in a stolen vehicle.
The two men, both aged 19, have been charged with aggravated robbery police said.
One is also charged with unlawfully getting into a motor vehicle.
They are scheduled to appear in Christchurch District Court today.
Police said enquiries to identify a third person involved in the robbery are ongoing.
