The owner of an electric bike and scooter shop is hoping the Christchurch public can help locate e-scooters which were stolen in a brazen smash and grab early Saturday morning.

Black Sheep Trading owner Luke Ambrose told Chris Lynch “low lives broke into his store on Papanui Road at 3AM Saturday.”

CCTV footage shows one offender smashing the front glass door, while two other offenders arrive a short time later stealing a total of $13,000 worth of scooters.

They used a getaway car, thought to be a white Mitsubishi.
