A woman has been arrested after she allegedly tried to rob a dairy in Mairehau this evening.

A police spokeswoman told chrislynchmedia.com they received a report about 7pm that a woman had entered an Innes Road premises and demanded cash.

No weapons were sighted during the incident, the police spokeswoman said.

The woman then left the premises without taking anything and was arrested a short time later.

“She is currently assisting police with their enquiries.”
