A bust water pipe has forced the evacuation of Westfield Mall in Riccarton.

Shoppers told ChrisLynchmedia.com they were forced to evacuate at about 11:30 am.

Video footage sent in shows water bursting from above the Columbus coffee cafe near Riccarton Road.

Fire and Emergency crews were at the scene a witness said.
