Qantas flights

Qantas recently announced up to 260,000 additional seats across three trans-Tasman routes, offering New Zealand travellers more options for travel.

Christchurch to Brisbane: Flights will increase from daily to up to 12 per week starting in late October, adding up to 1,700 seats on the route each week.

Christchurch to Melbourne: Flights are also set to increase from daily to up to 12 per week from late October 2024, providing an additional 1,700 seats weekly.

New Zealand travellers on all Qantas trans-Tasman flights can enjoy 30kg of checked baggage, as well as complimentary food, beverages, and inflight entertainment.

In addition to increased seating, Qantas has expanded its Frequent Flyer program, offering Kiwis the chance to use Qantas Points for sale fares through the new Classic Plus Flight Rewards. These seats are also eligible for upgrades, making them a great option for travellers looking to enhance their journey.

Kiwis can join the Qantas Frequent Flyer program for free using a special join link, offering many ways to earn points and access a range of destinations.

Qantas has also introduced Qantas Club Flexible, a new membership option that allows customers to pay for 28-day access to any of its 30 Qantas-branded lounges. This access can be purchased on qantas.com for just NZ$99, plus a one-time joining fee of $129.
