The battle for the Ilam seat in Christchurch is set to be one of New Zealand’s most hotly contested seat.

National i ahead in the electorate of Ilam, according to a recent Taxpayers’ Union-Curia poll.

It showed the National candidate, Hamish Campbell, on 33 per cent, followed by Labour’s Sarah Pallett on 15 per cent, and TOP’s Raf Manji on 14 per cent.
