Two people have been rushed to hospital following a fire at an apartment block in Linwood this morning.
Fire and Emergency were called to the scene on Hereford Street shortly before 9AM.
Shift Manager Lynn Crossan said they received multiple 111 calls.
A St John spokesperson said they were notified of the incident and responded with an ambulance
They transported two patients in moderate condition to Christchurch Hospital.
A Fire and Emergency spokesperson confirmed the injured people were not firefighters.
