Emergency services have responded to a crash involving a car and a bus at the intersection of Gloucester Street and Fitzgerald Avenue late this morning.

St John Ambulance was notified of the incident at 11:06am and sent one ambulance to the scene.

Two people were taken to Christchurch Hospital, one in moderate condition and the other with minor injuries.

The road was partially blocked, and motorists were advised to take extra care in the area.
