A 14-year-old schoolgirl was injured in an alleged hit-and-run incident on Bower Avenue this afternoon.
Police received a report of the crash involving a car and a cyclist at approximately 3:12 pm.
The vehicle fled the scene following the collision a police spokeswoman said.
A local resident, who captured the incident on CCTV, reported hearing a noise and discovering the injured girl outside.
He reviewed his surveillance footage, which had recorded the crash.
Chris Lynch Media has viewed the hit-and-run and made the decision not to publish the video.
The girl sustained minor injuries.
Police are conducting enquiries to locate the driver involved the police spokesman said.
While no official images have been released, investigators are reviewing the resident’s CCTV footage as part of their investigation.
