An unplanned power outage in Linwood on Saturday evening left over 600 properties without electricity.

The outage began at 8:33pm and affected several streets, including Armagh Street, Cashel Street, England Street, Gloucester Street, Hereford Street, Stanmore Road, Tancred Street, and Worcester Street.

Orion said electricity crews have restored power to 366 properties, with 242 homes still waiting for power to be restored as of 9:15pm.

Crews continue to investigate the cause of the outage, which remains unclear.

The estimated time for full restoration is 10:29pm.

“We have now restored over half the affected customers and hope to have the remainder up very soon. Thank you again for your patience,” said a spokesperson in an update.
