Christchurch police have cordoned off a house in Bromley this evening.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media police received a report of alleged shots fired towards an address on Ruru Road about 7.20pm.

“There are no reports of injuries.

Police are in attendance and are making enquiries.”

A resident said she heard at least three gunshots.

The house which is on the corner of McGregors Road and Ruru Road has been cordoned off while police examine the inside and outside of the property.

Armed police are guarding the property.
