A search is underway in Hanmer Springs for 78-year-old Sydney, who failed to return from a mountain bike ride in the Conical Hill area yesterday.

Sydney’s family and police are concerned for his wellbeing, as he has not been seen since. He was last spotted wearing a red jersey, black pants, a green helmet, and a fluorescent backpack.

Today, police and Land Search and Rescue teams are combing the area in an effort to locate him.
