Police have released the names of the two people who died in a crash on West Coast Road, Kirwee, on Thursday, 3 October 2024.

They were Margaret Brenmuhl, 74, and Francis Brenmuhl, 75, both of Kirwee.

In a statement, police expressed their “deepest sympathies to the family during this difficult time.”

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision remains in Christchurch Hospital in a stable condition.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no charges have been laid at this time.
