Police are investigating a ram-raid at a Christchurch mall.
Chris Lynch Media understands youths drove a car into the Bush Inn Centre early Friday morning targeting a Jewellery store.
A police spokeswoman said they received a report of a burglary at commercial premises on Waimairi Road, Upper Riccarton about 6.15am.
“Initial reports suggest a vehicle was used to gain entry” the spokeswoman said.
An hour earlier Liquorland at Tower Junction in Addington was ram-raided.
A vehicle was used to gain entry and two offenders stole bottles of alcohol before getting into another vehicle and leaving the scene.
Police did not provide any description of the offenders.
“Police are working to establish whether or not this incident is linked to a burglary on Clarence Street.”
Enquiries are ongoing to ascertain what was taken and to locate the offenders the police spokeswoman said.
