The Z service station on Marshland Road was cordoned off by police this morning following a disorder incident.

A police spokeswoman told chrislynchmedia.com a person was reported to be acting disorderly and “smashing up the bathroom” at the petrol station.

The individual was alone at the time, she said.

Road cones were placed at both entrances of the station, preventing motorists from accessing the premises, which also includes a Burger King restaurant.

A St John spokeswoman said they were aware of an incident on Marshland Road, but referred other enquires to police.

The person was taken to hospital and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date, the police spokeswoman said.
