Police appeal for information after armed robbery in Invercargill

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated robbery at a commercial premises in Invercargill early this morning.

At around 3.30am, four people entered a store on North Road, with two of them armed with knives and another carrying a tyre iron.

The group targeted cigarettes and tobacco products before fleeing the area in a vehicle.

Police said the two store employees were uninjured but understandably shaken by the incident.

Invercargill Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information that could assist with the investigation.

They are also seeking CCTV or dashcam footage from the North Road area between 12am and 5am.
