Motorists are being advised to plan ahead for a closure of SH74A in Woolston on the night of Monday 14 April.
The closure will be in place from 7.30pm to 6am between SH76 and Radley Street.
NZTA said the closure is to allow KiwiRail to carry out works at the site of the level crossing with SH74A.
A detour will be in place via Curries Road and Maunsell Street.
Drivers are advised to allow additional time when travelling through the area during this time.
The works are weather dependent and may be postponed or extended at short notice.
