Wine lovers are in for a treat as the South Natural Wine Festival returns to Christchurch on 30 November.

Hosted by Silver Wing Wines, the event will bring together winemakers from across New Zealand to celebrate the art of organic, preservative-free winemaking.

Taking place at Evil Genius in Ferrymead, Christchurch, the festival promises an afternoon of unique flavours and vibrant music.

From 1:00 to 5:30 pm, attendees will have the rare opportunity to sample wines crafted without added sulphites, poured by the winemakers themselves.

Lol The lineup includes wines from five renowned wine regions: Central Otago, North Canterbury, Marlborough, Nelson, and Hawke’s Bay. The participating wineries—Amoise, A Thousand Gods, Black Estate, Fancrest, Greystone & Muddy Water, Halcyon Days, Mt Edward, Silver Wing, and TINCAN—are set to showcase a diverse range of organic, natural wines that highlight the best of New Zealand.

“Where else could you get wines poured by winemakers from five different regions in one day?” the organisers said.

“With the Port Hills providing a stunning backdrop and the Avon Heathcote Estuary nearby, the festival offers an ideal setting for a relaxed afternoon of wine tasting with friends.

Adding to the festival atmosphere, live music will keep the vibe lively. A jazz performance by Carmel Courtney and Simon Gregory’s four-piece band will set the tone, followed by DJ Silionbeat spinning tracks for the afternoon crowd.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite, and organisers recommend booking early to avoid missing out on this popular event.
