A lone pro-Palestinian protestor has climbed onto the lower roof of the Christchurch City Council building.

A police spokesman said “at 11.20am, Police were called to Worchester Boulevard, between Montreal Street and Cambridge Terrace, where one of several protesters had climbed onto a building.

 A section of road has been closed to traffic, trams and pedestrians while Police engage with the person.”
