Christchurch City Councillor Mark Peters nominated Louise for the monthly award, highlighting her efforts through her role in the Greater Hornby Residents Association.

“Louise manages publicity, oversees their Facebook page, and spearheaded the creation of the new Greater Hornby Market after the previous market relocated, leaving a void and an opportunity,” Mark said.
“She is an integral part of the events team, organising and running a highly successful Matariki Fun Day. Louise is truly a Hornby Hero, deserving of this recognition,” he added.

A selection of Coupland’s treats for Louise

The company, in collaboration with Chris Lynch, selected her as the winner from hundreds of other worthy nominations.
