A former Rolleston recruitment company owns Inland Revenue $1.55 million.

Trinity Employment Services was placed into liquidation on the 30th May.

In the Liquidator’s first report, it said the reasons for liquidation included the failure to manage tax obligations and various economic factors impacting the industry.

Preferential Creditors included Inland Revenue which was owed $1,553,160.21.

Employee claims were $25,056.75.

On the Trinity Employment Services website, which is now been taken down, owner Cassandra Knox said she started the company “after seeing a lack of care and appreciation within the recruitment industry.”

Cassandra won the award for Emerging Leader at the 2022 South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.

On the same day Trinity Employment Services was placed into liquidation, Knox registered a new company recruitment company.

In May, Knox said the reason why she registered a new company was because she hoped to “rebuild something in the future.”

Knox said she “tried to come to some agreement with IRD to replay the debt but it didn’t work out.”
