Fire and Emergency services are battling a fire at Glenhope Station near Hanmer Springs after a controlled burn spread out of control.
The fire, located on a high country station, is not currently threatening any properties, but it is highly visible from State Highway 7, a Fire and Emergency spokesperson said.
Two fire crews have been deployed to the scene, but due to the challenging road access, Fire and Emergency is preparing to send helicopters to contain the blaze.
