Fire and Emergency crews were back at the scene of a fire at Woodend Beach on Friday morning.
A spokeswoman said at 11.38am crews responded to a fire at Woodend Beach.
“A few smouldering hotspots had flared up from the previous fire there, but fire crews have it under control.
Ten fire trucks initially attended but four have since departed.
The spokeswoman said it’s important to note that while fire at Pegasus Beach was handed back to Te Kōhaka o Tūhaitara Trust, crews have been on standby in case of any major flare-ups.
