Two fathers of youths who brazenly stole products from a popular Christchurch dairy have issued public apologies for their sons’ actions.

Their statements came after viewing a video of the theft posted by Chris Lynch Media last night.

On Saturday around 7PM three youths entered the Keyes Road dairy grabbing products before running away.

Frustrated by the boys’ actions, the dairy owner posted the security video of the incident online, which was subsequently shared by Chris Lynch Media, attracting 90,000 views.

One of the boy’s father commented saying “the first kid is my son I would like to apologise to everyone.

”I’m so dam disappointed it’s disgusting. I never raised him to be like this! He ran away to his mother’s and I am in court proceeding.  I will be contacting the dairy owner and paying for the damages this morning.”

The father, which Chris Lynch Media has chosen not to name said he paid the dairy $516.00 and provided a “strong apology to the lovely lady that owns that dairy. And I will sort my son out. Apologies to everyone.”

Another dad came forward saying “One of them is my son. I am incredibly embarrassed and gutted.

“I saw this post last night got him straight home and called police. I would like to apologise to everyone involved. I did not raise him to be like this. we are working with police and will be going to the dairy. I am so incredibly gutted.”
