All fires in Springfield, Waipara, Amberley and Broomfield been contained and crews are in mop up operations.

A Fire and Emergency spokesperson said there will be crews on overnight at all 3 fires to monitor.

Helicopters have finished their operations and have departed the scenes.

The spokesperson said all residents evacuated from the Broomfield fire can now return home and power has been restored.

“We wish to thank all of the communities affected today, for their quick actions and prompt evacuations when required.

A final reminder to anyone that has had a burn pile in the last week to check that it has been fully extinguished and is cold all the way through.”
