Three people have been attacked by a dog in Woolston this morning, leaving one person in hospital.
A police spokesman told chrislynchmedia.com they were called to a Ferry Road property at 9:45am after receiving reports of an “incident involving a dog.”
Three people were involved, the police spokesman confirmed.
A St John spokeswoman said they responded with an ambulance and a clinical support officer.
Crews assessed and treated one person who was transported to Christchurch hospital in a moderate condition.
Christchurch City Council animal control officers were called to the scene.
Emergency services were unable to provide further details on the incident, although it’s understood the incident happened outside.
Police officers were still at the scene an hour after initially called, a resident said.
