Christchurch motorists face delays after serious crash on Blenheim Road

Christchurch motorists can expect delays this morning following a serious crash.

A police spokeswoman told chrislynchmedia.com  emergency services were notified of the crash on Blenheim Road, between Tika Street and Matipo Street, at 7.30am.

A St John spokesman said two patients were transported to Christchurch Hospital, with one in a serious condition and the other in a moderate condition.

Four other patients were treated for minor injuries and assessed at the scene.

The road remains blocked, causing traffic congestion, and three cars are being towed from the scene, according to police.
