Bob expressed his passion for the job, describing the meticulous process of conditioning the skins.
“A lot of these skins, when we first wash them and dry them, they’re really cardboardy. So what we do is put a little bit of moisture back into the pelt side, and we try and help rejuvenate the bit of softness,” he explained. “If you squeeze it gently, it’s just really nice and soft.” This conditioning process is crucial in achieving the luxurious feel that Bowron Sheepskins is known for.
