A Christchurch Filipino food store is the latest shop to be targeted by youths.

Early Saturday morning, CCTV footage captured a vehicle smashing open the doors of Mekeni Mini Mart on Ferry Road in Woolston.

Three youths were then seen running into the store, grabbing whatever they could.

One of them smashed open a front cabinet before fleeing the scene.

The offenders left in a second vehicle, which was found abandoned on Domain Terrace a short time later.

Police said three young people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
