The Christchurch City Mission is urgently appealing for donations as its Foodbank faces critically low supplies of essential items.
With more individuals and families in need, the Mission is struggling to keep up with demand and is calling on the community to help restock pantry staples and hygiene products.
“Right now, our Foodbank is running critically low on essential items, and we need your help to restock,” a Christchurch City Mission spokesperson said.
The organisation is particularly in need of non-perishable food items such as rice, pasta, canned goods, breakfast cereals, spreads, and long-life milk. Personal hygiene products, including soap, shampoo, deodorant, body wash, and sanitary items, are also in high demand.
“Every donation, big or small, makes a huge difference for struggling individuals and families in our community. Together, we can ensure that no one in Christchurch goes without,” the spokesperson said.
Those able to donate can drop off items at the Christchurch City Mission Foodbank, located at 275 Hereford Street, or email [email protected] for more information.
