Christchurch Akaroa Road/State Highway 75, Little River has re-opened following a crash.
A police spokesman said the single vehicle crash near Puaha Road was reported just before 6:20am.
Earlier this morning, the spokesman said “initial indications are that there were serious injuries.”
A St John spokesperson said they responded with a helicopter and one first response unit to the scene.
“Our crews were not required for transportation, please refer further enquiries to police.”
A motorist said he passed the crash site.
“There was a car upside down on its roof and a blue tarpaulin covering something.”
