Emergency services have been called to a serious crash in Burnside tonight.
Police received a report of a single vehicle collision on Wairakei Road about 8.50pm.
A police spokesperson said initial reports suggest four people have received injuries.
A woman who witnessed the crash told Chris Lynch Media she was first to call 111.
“A bystander helped get the baby out and was holding the baby while the other two or three people were inside, many other residents came out almost instantly too, people were still trapped in the car.
“All we could hear was ‘get my baby’. We know the baby is definitely safe though.”
