Armed police are at a property on Greers Road this evening.
A police spokeswoman said they’re making enquiries in relation to reports of a firearm being discharged at a Waltham property earlier today.
The Waltham incident was reported to Police at 5.45pm.
Nobody was injured, the police spokeswoman said.
It’s understood a police chase through Riccarton earlier this evening was also in relation to the incident.
Armed police are using a loud speaker, urging the occupants of the house to surrender to police a local said.

“One person has been taken into custody and Police are making enquiries to locate others who may have been involved.”
