Fans of Lonestar will have to wait a little longer before the Riccarton branch reopens.
In a statement on its Facebook page made today, on the day it was supposed to reopen, it said “due to unforeseen circumstances, Lone Star Riccarton will be not reopen until further notice.
We apologise for any inconveniences this may have created.”
The fit-out for the new location on Riccarton Road started several months ago.
Lonestar owner Trevor Casey said he was was still waiting for the Christchurch City Council to process their Certificate for Public Use.
There are four other Lonestar restaurants in Christchurch, including Papanui, City, Rolleston and Spitfire.
The Lone Star first opened on Manchester Street in September 1988.
