Emergency services have been called to Hornby early this evening to help an injured man.

A police spokeswoman said a police car was waved down by a member of the public on Oakhampton Street at 4.50PM.

They were concerned about a man walking down the street who appeared to be injured.

Police transported the man to the hospital to be checked over as he appeared to have been suffering from a concussion.

The police spokeswoman said it’s not clear from the information at hand how or where he came to be injured.
