A jewellery shop in Merivale has been targeted in broad daylight smash and grab.
Petersens Jewellers, on Papanui Road, was hit just before midday on Monday.
A police spokesperson said the attack involved three offenders brandishing hammers who entered the store during opening hours and stole a number of items.
“Police are in the early stages of an investigation into the incident, including conducting a scene examination.”
Police have released images of the offenders and need help to identify them, including a “close up” of one of the offenders.
