Police are respondiong to a serious crash on State Highway 1, Rakaia River Bridge. 

A police spokesperson said motorcycle and truck have collided and one person is in a serious condition.

Transport Agency said road is closed between Main Rakaia Road and Elizabeth Avenue. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
