A Christchurch primary school is asking the public for help after an intruder broke into the school over the weekend.

The incident took place at Te Kāpehu Riccarton School on Saturday.

Principal Paul Irving said in a Facebook post “unfortunately at school, we have had a break-in from the person pictured below.

To make matters worse one of our teachers was at school working and came across the intruder inside the school.

She is fine but obviously shaken. Police are investigating.

These are the best photos we have and it was around 11.15am-11.45am. If you recognise the person please message me.”
