Christchurch Talent Quest is coming to The Palms in October School Holidays

To celebrate the school holidays, the Palms is hosting a talent quest where you have the chance to win $2,000 worth of prizes, have fun, shine and show your talent!

The live shows commence the first week of the October School Holidays.
Wednesday 5th – Saturday 8th of October, 12-1 pm daily.
Outside Chemist Warehouse, The Palms Shopping Centre.

TALENT QUEST RULES

Junior Section ( 5-10yrs) – entrants must be 5 years and over as of 5th of October 2022.
Intermediate section (11-13 yrs) – entrants must be between 11 years and 13 years as of 5th of October 2022.
Senior Section (14 – 16 yrs) – entrants must be between 14 years and 16 years as of 5th of October 2022.
Entrants must be a resident of the Canterbury district to qualify for prize.
Open to individual or group entries.
Dance, singing, music, poetry/prose, comedy etc.
Not open to paid professional performers.
Each act will be allowed a total of five minutes of performance time.
All acts will use only the sound system operator provided however; instrumentalists may bring their own amplifiers if needed.
Once you have submitted your entry you can’t change your item.
When you are deciding on your act and your music – please make sure the act is age-appropriate and language appropriate.
You will be required to perform within the space restriction of 7m wide x 5m deep and will be on the shopping centre floor.
No profanity or swearing in the act. This is a family event.

DATE & TIMES
Wednesday 5th October 12 – 1pm ( 5-10 yrs)
Thursday 6th October 12 – 1pm ( 11-13 yrs)
Friday 7th October 12 – 1pm (14-16 yrs)

FINALSaturday 8th October 12 -1pm (final 2 from each heat)
* You must be avaliable for the above dates if entering competition.

HEATS / SHOW DAY

Check-in 30 minutes before your contest Section at the TALENT SHOW REGISTRATION TABLE.
Be ready to report to the staging area when called AS WELL AS at the end of award presentations.
EVERYONE will report to the staging area after the last contestant in the show and all will go on stage for the announcements of the winners. All awards will be presented at the end of the program.

Registration Deadline: Wednesday 28th September 2022.
Please fill in the registration form online and upload your video, alternatively bring in a memory stick to the Centre Management office with your audition on it.
