A man described by Canterbury police as “dangerous” has been captured this evening in Christchurch.
On Friday afternoon, police appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of Michael McNally.
He was wanted by police and was considered dangerous.
An eyewitness told Chris Lynch Media “armed police and a dog sqaud swarmed a carpark behind a liqour store in Linwood.”
The eyewitness said eight police cars pulled up, but have since left the scene.
A police spokeswoman said a 42-year-old man wanted to arrest by Christchurch Police has this evening been taken into custody.
He will be appearing in Christchurch District Court tomorrow, facing four charges.
