The Canterbury Muslim Association from the Al Noor Mosque in Christchurch has started a Givealittle page for the victims of the terror attack in Auckland.
Spokesperson Abdigani Ali said “just over 2 years ago, a terrorist entered our two mosques in Christchurch and killed 51 innocent lives and injured many more.”
“Another terrorist has injured innocent New Zealanders while they were doing their essential shopping during the Covid-19 lockdown in New Zealand. Both of these acts of terrorism have no place in New Zealand.”
“Muslim Association of Canterbury in the strongest terms condemns this act of terrorism on our soil against our fellow citizens.”
“They Are Us and We Are One.”
“The Muslim community of Christchurch and New Zealand stands with the victims of this heinous attack and have started a give a little fundraising page to support the victims of this attack.”
Funds collected by the Muslim Association of Canterbury (Al Noor Mosque) will go directly to the victims of this horrific attack.
Imam of Al Noor Mosque Imam Gamal Fouda said in a time that required all New Zealanders to be kind and strong, we are horrified and grieved by the terror attack at Lynn Mall today.
“We stand with the victims of the horrible incident. We feel strongly the pain of terrorism and there are no words that can convey our condemnation of such a horrible act.”
“All terrorists are the same regardless of their ideology whether it is white nationalism or ISIS they stand for hate and we all stand for peace and love.”
“This terrorist is not from us and we are one against terror. We pray for the recovery of the injured, and for the safety of our country.”
