Popular Christchurch Cafe The Caffine Laboratory is to close.

In a statement made on its Facebook page it said “it is with heavy hearts we need to announce the closure of our New Regent St cafe.”

“With our lease coming to an end, and after 2.5 years of extremely tough COVID trading, we have decided not to renew the lease at our current home.”

“While it’s extremely sad, and we will miss our regular customers like crazy, we are looking forward to our new chapter somewhere else in the city.”

“We just want to say thank you for your support over the last 9 years.”

“Our last day will be this Sunday the 17th, so if you can make it, come on down and bump a toast to the good times before then. Lots of love James, Cinthya and all the team.”
